Cole District are looking for more trustees to join the District Board of Trustees. We are seeking applications from enthusiastic volunteers to become Charity Trustees and help facilitate safe Scouting across the District
The Trustee Board is responsible for Governance of Scouting, overseeing Safety, Safeguarding, Training, Finance, Insurance, Property Management, Charity AGM and Charity Commission reporting. We meet once a term. The Trustee Board should comprise of between 5-12 Trustees in total, including the District Lead Volunteer, District Youth Lead Volunteer, Treasurer, and Chair.
If you want to have a say in local Scouting but can't commit to helping at a section every week this may be the role for you !

Following an open search process and a number of interviews, I am delighted to share that Alison Lowe will be the new Cole District Lead Volunteer. 

Alison will be known by many in the district having supported Liz as her deputy for 4 years. 

Liz remains in post as District Lead Volunteer until early Feburary which allows time to recruit a new Lead Volunteer for 2nd Balsall Common which Alison stands down from to fulfill her new role. 

More information will be available through January around dates of transition after census. If you’d like to look at how you can support the District Team, I know that Alison would welcome a conversation with you, so please do contact her!

We are very sad to share with you the news that our Regional Commissioner for the West Midlands Dan Potter passed away suddenly over the weekend.
 
Many of you will have met Dan at the County AGM only a few months ago, and he will be remembered by many as a friend in Scouting.
 
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
